It's a very eye appealing and colorful sign during the day. Do you think at night, with the neon shining bright, would you lose the beauty of the graphic design?

Memorial Day Weekend Is Here
All signs of spring are here, the cooler temps still linger. Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend is when the Twin Cities experiences it's warmest weather of the year. To find this Cottage Grove greeting, take the Jamaica Avenue Exit off of Highway 61. This is the centerpiece of the roundabout that awaits you.
Enjoy the extended weekend if you have one....

Jack MacDonald TV
I used to live not far from Jack MacDonalds TV repair shop about twenty years ago. I'm wondering how long they have been at this location. What's disturbing to me is, I cannot recall if this business was here before or after I left the neighborhood. I guess we never had to use their service so it doesn't stand out to me.

Clumpy Clouds
Storm passed through here last night, nothing much really came from it. Spotty thunderstorms at best, but there for sure was potential for more than what we received. This clumpy clouds contribution photo from swc was taken from his back yard as the storm was rolling through the Twin Cities.
Clouds generally have flat bottoms because the layer or boundary at which water condenses in the atmosphere is usually smooth and uniform. However, if this boundary is turbulent and mixed the cloud layer reflects this in its shape. Here well-rounded Mammatus clouds have formed on the outskirts of a thundercloud. Should these types of clouds be illuminated when the sun is low in sky, as they are here, the bias relief and colors of the clouds can be striking. Be weary of the of the weather if these clouds are seen in the sky.

Boulevard Flooding
It seams like we are still waiting for spring to arrive around here. We're now into the month of May and there are lots of complaints about the cold weather we've received in the Twin Cities. I know eventually we'll have temps in the 80s and 90s and we'll have complaints about the heat. Thought I'm starting to wonder if it will be short lived this year.

1200 Club
A broader view of the Burnsville Bowl sign from April 20. Also attached to the bowling center was the 1200 Club. From Joey via the comments for that day, the Burnsville Bowl has been sold and has a new name. Thankfully I've captured the sign before it changes.
