Burnsville Bowl

The sign is very aged and in major need of some upkeep. I have not been to this area at night to see if the sign still works. I believe the Burnsville Bowl is still operational as of today. I believe the Burnsville Bowl is still operational, plus I see an aluminum ladder leading up to the sign from the bottom left. So perhaps I caught them during maintenance after all?

  1. Burnsville Bowl was recently sold and will have a new name. I think - I could be wrong though - that they're going to keep the classic sign up. I saw a picture a while ago of that place when it was in the middle of a field and nothing else was around it. That was around 40 years ago.

  2. Wow- the sign brings back memories! Our family spend many years living in the same house in Burnsville and seeing this sign was a regular part of our lives. It will be interesting to see what becomes of "the bowl". I'll give an update to you one day.

  3. Thanks for the info, I'm glad I captured the sign in it's raw condition, before they do any upkeep to it. The sign is quite unique for a typical business sign, it gives the building a lot of character and if they were to remove it....who knows, perhaps it'll just be another bowling ally.

  4. Rare to see a sign like that anymore. I wonder if they can find replacement lightbulbs anymore.
