I'm not sure if these are brand new, but they looked freshly painted and displayed in a very long row next to the street I was stopped on. Yes, these are made by Volvo. Click the photo if you cannot see the Volvo name. It's there in the upper part of the windshield, click it, I'll wait.

This is one Volvo I don't think I'd drive around.
ReplyDeleteAmerica had this market sewed up once. Catepillar (spelling) and others dominated the construction business but then labor unions, among other factors, make buying Japanese and Volvo an attractive alternative.
ReplyDeleteJust like the T-shirts we wear were once produced in the South and now they come in from all over the world.

Wow, Adelaide is showing Caterpillars today too! Like your new site layout by the way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael for your web site feedback. I wanted to create something that was unique in design and I'm nearly happy with the final result [there are a few minor tweaks I need to make, but nothing most people would notice]
ReplyDeleteDon't Merecedes-Benz also make agricultural vehicles like combine-harvesters?

In Australia, one who pilots a Volvo is called a "Bloody Volvo Driver", or BVD for short. Probably because it's advisable to never hit one.
ReplyDeleteMadame also has a Volvo but it ain't got one of them scoops on the front. That's a pity because there's so much more we could do with it !!!
Thanks for your welcomed comments at ADP, I'm sorry to be so slow in responding.
This evening on my way home from work, I was stopped at a stop light. The semi-truck behind me had a Volvo emblem on the front of the engine.
ReplyDeleteHee! I get a kick out of the Mercedes Benz (and Volvo) buses and Mac-type trucks around here in Switzerland. On the flip side, my corn harvesting photo from Sept 4th shows an American Claas Jaguar harvester.
