Found this bronzed statue of, I believe it's Peppermint Patty. In St Paul they've created hundreds of Peanuts gang statues of Snoopy, Lucy and Linus. One year at a time for each statue series. They were all decorated as the artist saw fit. I don't recall them doing a series on Peppermint Patty. Is this the only one? I wish I could answer that for you.

how cute, would be nice to the whole gang together :)
oops, miss the word "see"
Slinger, these are different from the Schutz series that were created year after year awhile back. These are permanent statues in Rice Park that have made some St. Paul residents quite unhappy. A few women have protested their addition to the park as unworthy of the location--too pedestrian or commercial, I think, was their argument. I enjoy the few there immensely and they are a good companion to FScott's statue which I featured on my visualstpaul blog sometime ago: October 6, I believe (I'm still trying to figure out how to link this!!)
FScott I'm experimenting with this and it doesn't seem to want to work for me
Hey, I did it!!
Now I remember your photo you posted. Tomorrows photo here is going to be of the Fitzgerald statue.
In this day and age, it doesn't surprise me there would be some grumblings over a peanuts character in the same park as the Fitz statue. The park is surrounded by some major, historic buildings of St Paul. I guess if that's what fills their day, good luck to them. My time is more valuable than to worry about a statue in a park.
This is a nice photograph and an equally nice statue. One of my favorites.

There are a lot of these statues around Santa Rosa, CA, too. Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, Marcie...
